Gravity Man: Turning
Point

Written and Created

It was wrong. He knew it was wrong, he could feel it in his
bones, but it felt too good. Every slaughter was a release of years of held up
feelings of misunderstanding and loneliness. He was no longer alone, and now
the secret was out and everyone knew. Years ago Gravity Man had said he was the
last of the universal manipulators, but they didn’t know that was a lie. Those
years of being alone and misunderstood and outcast changed him. The world’s
shining star and perfect hero is now their torturer and executor. With powers
unmatched and being the most powerful of his kind it only takes moments for the
fallen hero to vanquish and kill the people who once loved and trusted him so
much. Lasers fire from the hands and eyes of the once “world’s protector”,
killing instantly everything it touches. By manipulating gravity to his will,
he easily crushes the frail human bodies and the sound of bones turning into
powder and screams of the dying fill the air. He loved it, a bit too much. Just
as easy as he extinguishes the human body he does the same to dozens at one
time by bringing several buildings down with little of thought. He hates them,
but he doesn’t know why. They didn’t do anything wrong. He looks around to see
his new army, the Apprentice Brotherhood killing just as mercilessly as him.
Suddenly, several bullets attack Gravity man’s impenetrable skin and others wiz
by him. Angrily Gravity man declares to his attackers, “Resistance is futile! Be
gone!” In a burst of rage and energy Gravity Man kills the resisters and the
few apprentices in the area. “I’ll kill you all!” He screams irately. He jet streams into the reddening sky and looks for other
targets to murder. Suddenly, he is confronted by a band of heroes. One able to
wield ice and lightning, another has super strength and speed, and the last one
the ability to teleport and use telekinesis. They attack him harmoniously, but
underestimate Gravity Man’s ability to manipulate telekinesis and gravity at
once. He quickly dismantles them of their limbs and insides. Satisfied the
fallen hero smirks at their humorous defeat and presses onward. The faces of
the public is clear and concise; betrayal at its finest.

                Over the
course of the days known as the Turning Point, Gravity Man and the Apprentice
Brotherhood hit the entire world with death and hate and destruction. By the
end, Gravity Man is a fully realized exile. He is no longer a Guardian and
protector or all that is of good and peace, but rather a power hungry murderer,
bent on hate, pain and suffering. The leader of the Apprentice Brotherhood, the
Godfather, was preparing to make a speech for the public. Being he too is an
exile, he didn’t need a microphone or tv
to spread his message. His ability to manipulate the universe would do that for
him. Meanwhile, Gravity Man fights a grueling battle against one of his closest
friends and fellow Guardians of the peace and universal manipulator. “This is
wrong and you know it!” exclaims Jericho. “See if I care.” Gravity Man replies
cool and cold. Using inverse telekinesis, which is telekinesis that manipulates
from the inside of a person instead of the outside and causes extreme twinge, Gravity
Man sends his former friend flying twenty feet back through several buildings. In the process also killing several more innocent bystanders.
There was no more talking between the two just fighting and bloodshed. In the
end Gravity Man came on top, but could not convince his evil side to kill his
former friend. He fleas out of fear for himself, but on his way back he is
drawn by the strong presence of someone below him. Someone he recognizes all
too well. He lands to find the love of his life pinched under some building
rubble, barely conscious. The evil is temporarily driven out of Gravity Man as
he rushes to his love’s aid. He easily gets her out of the rubble and sets her
on the ash ridden ground. He closes his eyes softly and places his hand, which
now glows white, upon her stomach. She awakens and her wounds heal. At first
she is startled and taken aback from Gravity Man’s presence, but then she
quickly embraces him tightly. “You have to stop this. This isn’t you.” She says
to him. Gravity Man is quiet but clearly pondering. “What would you have me do?”
he says impatiently and pushing her away. The evil slowly sets back in his
eyes. “Be the person I fell in love with again.” She replies placing a hand on
his cheek and kissing him softly. Confliction and war divides Gravity Man now
more than ever. He kisses her back briefly and flies back into the blood red
sky and sets off to redeem what honor he can.

                With a
glowing white and slightly crystal clear three foot rod, Gravity man slaughters
the remaining Apprentice Brotherhood. Meanwhile, the Godfather is giving his
speech when Gravity Man arrives, sword drawn. The Godfather welcomes Gravity
Man with open arms and calls him son, but then he senses and sees Gravity Man’s
thoughts and knows the taste of betrayal. The two duel furiously but the
Godfather falls to Gravity Man aggression and hatred in the end. Still not on
the light side Gravity Man exiles himself to the stars in hope of fighting the
confliction the lives within him.

A quick story I wrote about a main character i have. Didn't really try all that hard on this piece.
